Petros and Elvira Grammenos have been running this relaxed 'pension' in their home village for almost 30 years, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Many come back year after year to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Pelekas village and the beautiful golden beaches. Pension Paradise stands at the edge of the hilltop village of Pelekas, on the west coast of Corfu (right opposite Corfu Town, 12 km away). This is a lovely, relaxing situation - the rooms have wonderful views over the Ropa valley to Mount Pandokrator - only a short stroll from the village squares. Pelekas is unusual in combining good tourist facilities with remaining a living Greek village, where people work and live all year round. It is a far cry from most Corfiot resorts, entirely dominated by tourism.

With its central situation (and famous views across Corfu) Pelekas makes an ideal base to explore the island. However, since it is surrounded by three of the best beaches (the long golden sands of Kontogialos, or Pelekas Beach, and Glyfada, with the scenic Myrtiotissa a little further away) many visitors choose to stay right here. Pension Paradise is particularly well placed for those who want a varied holiday without hiring a car: a free minibus (which shuttles back and forth from Pelekas and Glyfada beaches all day and into the evening) stops right at the door, and the village provides a wide choice of excellent restaurants, bars, and food and speciality shops. A regular local bus service (1 Euro each way) is available for the 25 minute journey into the beautiful and cosmopolitan Corfu Town.

From these ideal surroundings, Pension Paradise offers a variety of simple, reasonably priced self-catering accommodation (three double rooms, two apartments, all with en suite shower and W.C., fridges, televisions and cooking facilities) which are perfect for independent travellers.
